CINEMAGIC (Belfast) 7/21/14
Cinemagic is an international film festival for young people based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.  It was established in 1989 and over the years it has developed a worldwide reputation for excellence in children’s programming and is currently the largest award-winning children’s film festival in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Leamington Underground Cinema Festival (UK) 8/15/14
LUC Short film prize. £1000 prize. This prize is open to anyone from anywhere at all. We want to show original short films that will entertain, move, perplex, surprise and even maybe outrage our audience. We will always favour something interesting and entertaining but a bit rough over something technically amazing but dull – but if you can manage both you could well be onto a winner. Northwest Filmmakers Film Festival (Portland, OR) 09/01/14

Fred­rik­stad Ani­ma­tion Fes­ti­val is the oldest and lar­gest ani­ma­tion fes­ti­val in the Nor­dic region, with roots back to 1994 and Ani­merte Dager in Oslo. One of the pil­lars is our Nordic– ​​Baltic com­pe­tition for ani­mated shorts with the awar­ding of our own price, the Gol­den Gun­nar. The fes­ti­val is also one of the nine ani­ma­tion film fes­ti­vals which nomi­nate films for the pre­sti­gious Euro­pean ani­ma­tion award Cartoon d’Or. Queen City Film Festival 9/3/14
The second (annual) Queen City Film Festival will be held September 26-29, 2013. You must submit by mail on NTSC DVD or Blu-ray disc. No other formats will be accepted. Submissions will not be returned.

Tapiales Film Festival 9/5/14
Festival is only open for fiction, animation and documental short films. Films submitted must be Spanish spoken or subtitled. Films under 20 minutes. Submission requirements (mandatory): 2 copies of the short film must be submitted on DVD format presented in a plastic box.

Purbeck Film Festival 9/12/14
After a successful launch four years ago we are again inviting entries of short films for our special PURBECK SHORTS evening to be held during the 18th annual Film Festival on Friday 17th October in the Rex Cinema Wareham.  If your film is selected we welcome directors to attend on the evening. Viral Video Award (Berlin) 08/31/14

Machinima Expo 09/01/14
If you have a machinima film you’d like to submit to the Expo, here is how to submit your film: Your film must be at least 50% machinima, that is, footage from a real-time engine like Moviestorm, Second Life or Half Life 2. Upload film to Vimeo.com (or other video sites like youtube.com) and provide the link to download the film.

TUFF- Toronto Urban Film Festival (ON) 06/14/2014* free submission ends at midnight
Call for submissions is open to international filmmakers, accepting all genres of silent, 1 minute film, video, and animation of interest to an urban audience.  The 8th annual TUFF, North America’s largest commuter film festival returns to Pattison Onestop subway platform screens across Toronto from September 5 – 15, 2014.
The TUFF audience includes over 1 million daily commuters, and runs concurrent with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). TUFF screens at 10-minute intervals on over 290 platform screens in 63 stations across the Toronto subway system, and non-stop at designated “Film Zones” located at key downtown stations.
