Puchon International Student Animation Festival 7/31/14
The 16th edition of Puchon International Student Animation Festival (PISAF) will be held from 22 to 26 October 2014 Pucheon, Korea. All applicants must have been enrolled in a college, university, or graduate-level institution at the time of production. Computers, films and/or other media in the frame-by-frame method are qualified for submission. Panorama Internacional Coisa de Cinema 8/1/14
The 10th edition of the Panorama Internacional Coisa de Cinema will take place simultaneously in Salvador and in Cachoeira, Bahia, Candidates for the international short competition may enter short length films (duration = up to 30 minutes), finalized in 35mm, DCP or H264. The Nile’s Diaspora International Film Festival is currently accepting applications for films and videos made by and/or about people of African and the African Diaspora. (Filmmaker needn’t be of African descent.) Films should preferably depict positive and realistic images and can be of any genre – experimental, romance, drama, comedy, horror, adventure, animation, science fiction, etc. NDIFF accepts features, shorts, narratives and documentaries. Our intention is to highlight the best animated films made with multiplatform characteristics: interactive pieces, videogame intros, teasers, animation series episodes or pilots and (why not ?) traditional animation shorts are just a few examples of pieces that may participate in this wide open competition. The important thing is that the piece is able to convey, with the animation language, a communication that is consistent and attractive in every type of media. The contest is open to animated works that may be new or previously made, produced by professional or amateur animators. Works may have a length of 30 seconds minimum and 10 minutes maximum. Celebrates the beginning of summer with a presentation of short films on the longest day of the year. The Festival is committed to exposing exciting new short films to wider audiences.
