International Film Festival of St. Petersburg (Russia) 5/15/13
Saint-Petersburg’s annual “Festival of Festivals” is a non-competitive celebration of international cinema, showcasing the best films from around the world.
There are also categories entitled “New Russian Cinema”, “Short Films”, “Special Screenings” and “Retrospective” which provide a platform for films of these types. DVD submission.

The Student Animation Festival originated in 2007 as a live showcase of high-school student animation with awards given to the top entries in a number of categories.  It has grown to include post-secondary entries from around the world.

HCC-TV’s 13th annual Independent Film Festival (Maryland) 04/01/13 * local and regional independents
Once a year Howard Community College Television highlights local (Maryland) and regional indies featured on CineMaryland (cinemaryland.com) as well as what we gather from friends elsewhere… and then air throughout two weeks in May here on our non-commercial cable channel which serves tens of thousands of viewers in the Baltimore, MD-Washington DC corridor. It is non-juried and non-compensatory. Each content-appropriate indie will be scheduled at least a dozen times. All that’s required is your DVD or access to an mpg2.(? do they mean mp4?) art:screen is interested in receiving new entries for art:screen’s collaboration with Kulturhuset Borgen, Gislaved, Sweden. For the autumn 2013 art:screen will be curating three new programs for Kulturhuset Borgen’s room for moving image. art:screen is looking for new, innovative and contemporary works and only consider entries made by emerging and established artists that is art-form committed and is suitable to show as a single-channel projection. Except from an open call with a non-thematic entry, art:screen also welcomes entries reflecting on the themes or topics: Four Degrees, Shot me – Shot you. Must use a site for upload such as wetransfer to upload file. (no vimeo, you tube… etc.)

PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 6/30/13
The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) again invite the world’s youth to submit original and creative videos focusing on PLURAL+ themes: migration, diversity and social inclusion. PLURAL+ is seeking for short videos, of up to 5 minutes. Entrants must be youth between the ages of 9-25. Preferably all videos should be submitted on DVDs, or through a file hosting website of choice (MediaFire, YouSendit,)

The 14th International Computer Graphics Conference – View Conference: View Awards (Italy) 09/15/13 DVD Submission
VIEW Conference, the premiere international event in Italy on Computer Graphics, Interactive Techniques, Digital Cinema, 2D/3D Animation, Gaming and VFX, is now calling for entries for the VIEW Award 2013 competition. International Women’s Film Festival “KIN” (Armenia) 08/28/13
The 10-th International Film Festival «KIN» (kin means “a woman” in Armenian), will be held in Yerevan on 2-6 December 2013. The festival’s goal is promote women’s creativity, establish a network between women filmmakers from different parts of the world and give hand to a better understanding of different cultures and each other. The purpose of the festival is to address through films issues of violence, inequality, discrimination and other problems related to women’s rights and gender problems. genres: Documentary, Short, Animation. Duration of the films had to be less than 40 min. Dead by Dawn (Scotland) rolling submissions
Showcases the best independent Horror, through a variety of short and feature programmes. Audience Award for Best Feature and Best Short, Cutting Edge short film competition. Screeners should be DVD (NTSC or PAL)

Nomadic film club (ongoing)
A non-commercial journey of one film vagabond (guru) or a group of film vagabonds along the film routes. During the journey they gather, screen and shoot independent films. Cinema Gaff is a means of communication between independent filmmakers, film festivals and film societies. Film vagabonds represent the ideology that is free from political or religious doctrines. They stand for peace, love, ecology and personal freedom. Anyone sharing the ideas and values of the cinema gaff and accept its rules can join it. Vagrant musicians and artists are also welcome.The route is based on the film festivals, film societies film cafes or just friendly invitations.
Film vagabond moves on foot, hitchhiking, water-hitching, air-hitching, horse-drawn hitching, by bicycle, rowboats, sailboats or even air-balloons. Car driving, catching a cab, staying at hotels is possible only in case of emergency or for the seniors, disabled or juvenile fellow travelers.
