Vida dePerro is a monthly short film event that takes place in Barcelona in TallerMilans. TallerMilans, a platform for production and distribution of visual artslocated in Barcelona’s old town in the district ofGótico, will open its doors to screena selection of extraordinary short films, allowing the audiences to vote for their favourites. The most voted short filmswill be shown the following year at the Vida dePerro short film festival where the winnerswill be announced. Submit downloadable file or DVD.

An nternational feature and short film competition. The feature film competition is open to first and second films of any genre, language, format and running time, provided that they were completed after January 1st, 2013. The short film competition is open to films of any genre, language and format, provided that they were completed after January 1st, 2013. The works will not be divided into categories. Short films under 30 minutes with directors under 40 years. Each filmmaker can send three short films and/or two feature films at most. Each DVD must contain only one submitted film. Online submission form with DVD by mail within 48 hours.

The Vintage Short Film Fest 6/1/14* postmark, but must arrive by June 7th
The Vintage is taking submissions for a short film festival. Video and animation works of any genre are acceptable. Three submissions maximum. Each submission should have a maximum run time of TWENTY MINUTES. We prefer recently produced films, but will accept older works. The Vintage, 326 Spruce Street, Scranton, PA 18503. Submit by mail or drop off in person.

New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 06/23/14
Is intended to provide opportunities for animators to gain global popularity through an Animated Short Film Competition and to create a new forum for international exchanges via the culture of animation. Part of the festival’s appeal is its outstanding location in an airport with a massive flow of tourists and one of the world’s few airport movie theaters.

Stoptrik International Film Festival (screenings in Slovenia and Poland) 8/15/14
Films submitted to the competition should be no longer than 30 minutes and produced after Juanuary 1st, 2011. Please, note that we accept films made ONLY in the techniques of stop motion animation (puppet animation, clay animation, cut-out animation, object animation, sand animation, pixilation, mixed). International 1001 Documentary Film Festival (Turkey) 4/30/14
The program of 17th 1001 Documentary Film Festival will consist of 7 sections. Black section with its stories about true life war, violence, social depression and the people who experienced or resisted these; red section with films on the conditions of work and labor, workers and laborers in the world; orange section with modern day stories of nearby and far geographies; yellow section in which the subject of immigration, being away from home is presented; blue section that is about ordinary stories of extraordinary people, extraordinary stories of ordinary people; purple section with films about women in society, women in family, women at work, women against violence and violence against women; and finally the green section, films that struggle for a sustainable world. Submit by mail or file transfer.

Alternative Process Stop Motion and Short Films 05/01/14
The Colorado Photographic Arts Center seeks stop motion and short films made with alternative photographic processes. Submissions will be considered for an exhibition of Alt. process works at CPAC July 10th – August 16th, 2014. Works chosen will be included and shown on a compilation disk with other artists. Submit by mail or send file by email.

 

ONE SHOT International Short Film Festival

Categories: 1. One minute one shot: The film presented must be one minute long (60sec. without titles). The work must be shot in one frame. Shots cannot be cut, combined or mixed into one. Multiplication in animation (multi shots) is not against the rules as it is a production technique. However direct editing /cuts in different scenes/ shots (close up – middle, etc) are not allowed. The titles must be 10 seconds long and must be placed at the beginning of the one minute film. Besides original language, English subtitles are required. The author is free to express his/her ideas and views in any form and genre. 2. Short Films: Up to 30 minutes. Without any limitations in form and genre. 3. Film without borders The only “space” of the festival, where full length, experimental or “OTHER” films are shown. The space for films, which are out of selection, but are worth to be screened and discussed. 4. Special program: Individuals, production companies, festivals etc. are welcomed to present their films/projects. Submit online or by post.
