We Care Film Fest 01/15/16
The WE CARE Film Fest is held annually to raise awareness about disability issues, dispel misconceptions and prejudices about persons with disabilities and drive attitudinal and behavioural change. This year, the selected short films and documentaries will also be screened in France, Iran, Kuwait and Oman.  Online or by post. (preferred)

The WE Film Festival 3/21/16
We’re an open concept, multi-media festival in Maastricht, Netherlands. For the first time, this year, we are hosting a Film festival!  We’re going to do a three day long film marathon in multiple locations in the city with an opening & closing, a viewer’s award and Q&As for all the films we can.  We are open to any sort of genre, as far as the story you’re telling is well told and fluent with the mood of the festival as a whole. Two categories: Feature-length films (fiction or documentary) from Europe. A film is considered European, if either director, producer or the story are based in an European state/region, and films and videos by local artists in Austria.

MediaWave International Film Festival 01/10/16
“ANOTHER CONNECTION” expects the applications of artists, whose individual way of creation is independent of fashion streams; for whom technique is the means not the purpose; who attempt to create an individual film code set – whether they live in a minority group or in a less exposed part of the world. We want a festival where an abundance of original, new and particular views will play a major role instead of exotic productions and tricks; where artists with different ways of thinking and free thoughts will come together.

Aahān 2016

Aahān 2016
ISF is the International Short Film event of Aahān 2016. It is a pre-submission event. The categories for ISF are fiction, non-fiction and animation. Maximum 15 minutes including credits English subtitles. Only one entry is allowed by one participant/contingent. Out of the 3 categories the entry should fit under one category only. The submission of short film should be done by drive or YouTube link.

Academia Film Olomouc 12/18/15
AFO is currently one of the most important European festivals in the area of popular science film. It aims to present science as an attractive, dynamic and diverse sector through films charting natural, humanities and social science disciplines. Go Short – International Short Film Festival (Nijmegen) 12/21/15
The European Competition will consist of shorts that have been made in (geographical) Europe from all genres. The films are eligible for the Go Short Award for Best European Short in the four different categories. The Dutch Competition is a selection of films made in the Netherlands, from which the best film will be awarded with the Go Short Award for Best Dutch Short. From these two competitions a selection of films will be made which will form the Youth Competition, and which are eligible for the Go Short Youth Award.Online form/DVD submission.

The festival welcomes any film with nuclear, uranium, radioactive or atomic background: Movie, Documentary, Animation, Music Clip, Experimental, Fiction and Non-Fiction, Shorts and Features. Films about nuclear desasters like Three Mile Island, Chernobyl or Fukushima; films about nuclear scientists like Marie Curie, Enrico Fermi, Otto Hahn or Albert Einstein; movies like the legendary “The China Syndrome”: all are welcomed. DVD or online link for submission.

Monsoon Asia Film Festival

2015 THEMES. Possible themes include, but not limited to: Migrant workers in Taiwan, storytelling of children with foreign parents; interracial relationship in Taiwan; transnational culture and identity; multicultural imaginations in Taiwan. Filmmakers can send in their films to participate in the following 3 categories: Non- competition: Feature Films. Competition: Short Films: Films submitted should not exceed the time limit (30 minutes). 60sec Films: Films submitted should not exceed the time limit (60 seconds; including opening and end credits). One film will be selected from each of the above competition categories to receive the Best Short and Best 60sec Film Awards respectively. Days of ethnographic film festival (DEF) 12/01/15* should open soon
Organized by Slovene ethnological society in cooperation with the Slovene ethnographic museum and Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The festival has following programs: Student films, Regular program and a Special program. All films and videos dealing with ethnology, anthropology, sociology or cultural studies in a wide sense, made not more than two years before the actual festival DEF, are eligible. Submit DVD and downloadable copy of film.

$100 Film Festival 12/01/15
The $100FF welcomes submissions of short films (under 22 minutes) that are finished to Super 8 or 16mm film. We are looking for new (finished after Dec 2013) innovative, thought provoking film from any genre that keeps the practice of celluloid filmmaking alive. The $100FF has also expanded to include offsite installation works.

Films can be of any length and should be of interest to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer or transgendered communities.

Filmfest Dresden: International Short Film Festival 12/05/15
Eligible for submission are short films up to 30 minutes running time. For the National and International Competition only short fiction films and animation films produced after December 2013 are considered. For the special programmes (Panorama, Kids, Youth, Experiments, Regional Focus) documentaries and experimental films can be submitted as well.

ALFILM – Arab Film Festival Berlin 12/10/15
ALFILM presents feature films, documentaries and short movies coming from or produced in Arab countries at different venues in Berlin – many of which are German or European premieres. Nile’s Diaspora International Film Festival (Uganda) 10/03/15
Currently accepting film submission applications for films and videos made by and/or about people of African and the African Diaspora. (Filmmaker needn’t be of African descent.) Films should preferably depict positive and realistic images and can be of any genre – experimental, romance, drama, comedy, horror, adventure, animation, science fiction, etc. NDIFF accepts features, shorts, narratives and documentaries. Short films should be less than 35 minutes and a maximum of 120 minutes for a full feature film. DVD or online submission through clickforfestivals.

Movies that Matter Festival (Netherlands) 10/16/15
The Movies that Matter Festival presents around seventy human rights feature films and documentaries from all over the world. Many films will be screened for the first and only time in the Netherlands. The majority of the films are English spoken or subtitled.
