Expotoons (Buenos Aires) 8/31/13
Aims to make a contribution to the development of the animation industry as well as to promote the interchange of knowledge and experiences among the different countries in order to establish international relationships between producers and creators. The Competition is open to animated feature films, short films, TV series, commercials and graduation shorts, finished by film or digital mediums. DVD submission.

Images Festival-S is for Student Program (Toronto) 10/15/13
Independent media arts festival. Student films or videos, no more than 20 minutes in length are eligible for entry into our annual S is for Student program, which is curated by a special jury of students and recent graduates. Submissions to this student program are exempt from the entry fee for up to two works per artist. If students elect to submit to the general Film/Video Competition program (rather than in the student category), the entry fee requirement applies. Submit by post.
Tricky Women Animation Festival (Vienna) 10/18/13
Tricky Women is the first and only festival of animated film that is dedicated exclusively to animation by women. Upload via shortfilmdepot or send by post.

Independent Days (Germany) 10/31/13
No specific guidelines regarding running time, genre or format. However, the production costs of the films must not exceed 2.500 Euro per minute of running time. We will differentiate between the categories “No Budget” and “Low Budget”. DVD submission. Note: 2014 Entry Form link is in center of page.
Mono No Aware Festival 10/31/13 (received by date)
an international exhibition open to any person or group of persons making contemporary art that incorporates Super 8mm, 16mm, 35mm or altered light projections as part of a sculpture, installation, dance, or expanded cinema performance. Link to website or other documentation of project acceptable.
24 hours of Nuremberg 11/01/13
A 24 hour festival. The name of the festival is also the agenda! Short films will be shown nonstop.
16th International Underwater Film Festival (Serbia) 11/05/13
underwater documentaries. BETA, mini DV, DV Cam (PAL), will accept NTSC if other formats present a hardship.
DC Independent Film Festival 11/20/13 Note: only free for students and DCIFF Alumni, and only for the early deadlines
Students: attach a valid copy of your student ID to get preferential student rates. “Student films” is NOT an award category for the festival. DCIFF Alumni: Include date and name of the film screened at DCIFF on the submission form. Mail submission form with screener.
Tampere Film Festival (Finland), 12/1/2013
Tampere Film Festival is a short film festival with an International and National Competition. DVD, festival site upload or reelport.
Filmfest Dresden: International Short Film Festival 12/05/13
Short feature or animated film. Call for entry opens in October. Online submission form, preview DVD by mail.
