An annual showcase for contemporary experimental film + video, presented by Open City Cinema in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. WUFF is seeking new and engaging moving-image works that deviate from traditional cinematic forms, whatever that means. Stronger consideration will be given to works under 25 minutes, and to those completed in 2012 or later, but exceptions may be made in both cases. In addition to this general call for entry, WUFF is also looking for films and videos shorter than 90 seconds in length for a special program focusing on ultra-short shorts. “Molodist” is one of the greatest specialized cinema events in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, according to the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). It is produced and curated by filmmaker Matt Lee. Short films completed after January 1, 2014. Only narrative films in the Comedy genre will be considered. Runtime within 2-6 minutes. The  LUC selection committee is currently looking for film submissions in two categories: Feature length films, of any genre, that could be screened as part of our next festival in October 2014. Short films to be included in the programme of any upcoming LUC live events or on-line film nights. We want to show original short films that will entertain, move, perplex, surprise and even maybe outrage our audience. We will always favour something interesting and entertaining but a bit rough over something technically amazing but dull – but if you can manage both you could well be onto a winner. Princeton Student Film and Video Festival: 06/01/14
The Princeton Student Film & Video Festival is in its 10th consecutive year, and it is sponsored by the Princeton Public Library. The mission of the festival is to encourage and support the work of youth filmmakers in a range of genres and styles, with the opportunity and a venue for the filmmakers to show their work to a broad audience.
