enRoute Film Festival 5/31/14
The festival is open to all emerging Canadian filmmakers. You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. You must have been a student attending any formal (university or college) film studies institution or receiving informal training in film studies (production courses, workshops, apprenticeships, mentorships in media arts production) anywhere in the world as of September 2012 or later. Ottawa International Animation Festival (Canada) 05/16/2014
Any frame by frame or computer-assisted animated film or video, or non-gameplay video game animation may be entered. Only animated films that were completed after June 15th, 2013, are eligible. You must submit your entry form online and preview film on DVD.

Istanbul Animation Festival 9/5/14
Everybody can apply. Only films completed after 1st of January 2011 will be accepted.  Categories: IAF Grand Prize: The best blended short film about story and animation technic, Feature Film: Animation film longer than 40 min, Turk Short: Best short film made by Turk animator or animators, Student Film: Animation short film made by student, First Film: Animation short film made by a person’s first experience, Music Video: Music video which includes one or more animation technic. Submit by mail.

BUSTER Film Festival for Children and Youth (Denmark) 4/1/14
Denmark’s largest film festival for children and youth BUSTER directs its attention towards both schools and families. Films on BUSTER are entertaining, funny, heartbreaking, scary and so much more. A range of well over 100 feature films, shorts and documentaries are each year selected to be part of BUSTER Film Festival for Children and Youth. We primarily show films that our young audience would not have the opportunity to experience in Danish cinemas, because the films very rarely achieve theatrical distribution in Denmark. But every year BUSTER also unveils some of the exciting upcoming film premieres. DVD Screener or upload link.

Toronto Student Film Festival 3/31/14
Applicant must be between 12 and 21 years old. Films must be 6 minutes or less. Submissions can be made with DVD, online through filmfestivallife, withoutabox, youtube or vimeo.

International Short Film Festival Psarokokalo 4/1/14
Invites filmmakers to submit their entries for the Competition program of the Festival, which shall take place in July 2014. This edition of the Festival also presents the international competition Psaroloco with films for kids and teenagers. Submit film and application by email, or by mail.

Reel Michigan Film Festival 4/18/14
Reel Michigan will screen films for the second year at the lovely Marquis Theatre in Downtown Northville. Reel Michigan is now accepting Michigan-made or Michigan-themed short films, less than 30 minutes, as a part of Northville’s popular Arts & Acts event held June 20 through June 22, 2014. Arts and Acts is a vibrant, annual celebration of the arts in Southeast Michigan featuring art, music, film, plays and more! Reel Michigan welcomes all genres, from student films to the experimental.  All entries must be submitted on a DVD only.

Dreamspeakers film festival (Canada) 3/28/14
All entries must have Aboriginal participation as outlined; Total Aboriginal Production: Producer, Aboriginal Director and or/Writer, Collaborative Production: An Aboriginal and non-aboriginal joint production, Aboriginal Theme Production: A non-Aboriginal production with the subject matter focusing on Aboriginal issues/stories, A production featuring Aboriginal artist/technical content. DVD submission. Postmark deadline.

Toronto Animated Image Society Showcase 5/30/14
TAIS supports independent animators as artist and encourages research and creation by facilitating affordable access to space and equipment. Any frame-by-frame or computer-assisted animated film or video completed within the last 2 years may be entered. Films less than 10 minutes in length. DVD or online submission.

South to South 4/11/14
Videos not in excess of 15 minutes are requested for inclusion in a series of exhibits to be held concurrently in Medellin, Colombia (South America) at the PLECTO Gallery of Art and at Gallery 135 in South Carolina in April 2014.
