The following festivals were submitted to my noentryfeefests blog. Starting with the Black Bx, I want to mention that I have noticed an increase in “online festivals”. As I post any type of venue or screening and support all types of presentation, I mention it so that you take notice if you are only interested in live screenings and/or aren’t ready to have your work presented online. (Some online festivals do not require an upload of the work, some are judged offline and have a monthly contest, the winners of which are presented in a live screening, it really varies).

The Black Bx 8/8/15
The Black Bx, debuting in September 2015, is seeking international, experiemental, avant-garde, underground, nontraditional and/or contemporary short videos or films for online showcase. Selections will be screened on theblackbx.com for one month. Special commentary on selections will also be featured. Commentary will be written by selected filmmakers, writers, or professors. Under 20 minutes. Submit: Artist, Director or Filmmaker Statement and Biography, Description and Scope of Work. Must exemplify aspects of cinema outside of traditional Hollywood narrative structure. International Open Film Festival (IOFF) 8/15/15

International Open Film Festival (IOFF) is an initiative to explore the film with no border and it`s an independent film festival. If selected, entrants agree and understand, that their film shall screen in either or both, our live festival event and/or our online festival event that utilizes our virtual theater platform. Entrants also understand that the technology of the virtual theater that is unique to our system and is unlike any other utilized by any online festival throughout the world. Submission online.
ENJOY! ANIMATED SHORT FILM CONTEST 9/5/15
The cultural association LA SCATOLA BLU promotes the contest for animated shorts ENJOY! ANIMATED SHORT FILM CONTEST 2015, that will take place within the film exhibition “ENJOY! Film animati d’autore” at the Cineporti di Puglia/Bari, from September 24 to October 22 2015. Every Thursday the viewing of an animated feature selected among the excellence of international animation will be preceded by animated short films in competition. Produced after January 1st 2013, Max. duration of 5 min.. Any conventional or experimental animation technique regarding any subject. non-offensive in compliance with issues such as sex, race, language, religion and political opinions. 60hr Film Challenge 10/1/15
Colchester Film Festival is hosting its annual 60 hour Film Challenge from 2nd – 5th of October 2015. Over 200 films were completed at last year’s challenge. Filmmakers from across the world are challenged to write shoot and edit a film between 2 and 5 minutes in length in just 60 hours. The challenge begins on Friday 2nd October at 8pm (BST). Teams will receive an e-mail containing a title, line of dialogue and prop/action they must include in their films. Each team has to make their films over the weekend (3rd-6th October) and upload their final films to our Vimeo group no later than Monday 5th October 8am (BST). The shortlisted films will be screened and the winners announced at Colchester Film Festival on Saturday 24th October. Submission Online.
