Additions to November / December Deadlines

Hi all- starting to go through lists again for future deadlines. These days I am checking less frequently so more are open when I check. This is more economical as far as my time goes. I am an individual, not a team, I have a full time job + I am an artist. Apologies to anyone bothered by my posting same day festivals, but I post them as I see them and festivals tell me that they see a surge of entries the day I post. I know some of you will use the information, and some will not. I figure it is up to you.

Guadalajara International Film Festival 11/14/14
A cultural event of great relevance for Guadalajara and Mexico. It is considered as one of the most important showcases for the appreciation, promotion and distribution of Mexican and Ibero-American films. Email link to film or send DVD.

New Vision Film Festival (Ukraine) 11/15/14

Lisbon Animated Film Festival is an event where animated film meets other media and other arts.  Categories are: Animated Feature Films, Student Short Films and Super Short Films. Submit through email, Reelport online submission or DVD by mail.

Cinema Du Reel 11/17/14
Cinéma du réel, international festival of ethnographic and sociological films at the Centre Pompidou, supported by the C.N.R.S. (French national center for research) and by the “Comité du film ethnographique” (Ethnographic film committee), in order to promote the documentary cinema. Films completed after September 1st 2014. Submit through online platform, or DVD.

Watersprite: The Cambridge International Student Film Festival 11/24/14
Animation, Documentary, Fiction. Films under 20 minutes. Some travel assistance. Limit of first 300 entries. Online submission.

DC Independent Film Festival 11/25/14 Note: this “free” deadline is only for high school/under 19 category
Students: attach a valid copy of your student ID to get preferential student rates. “Student films” is NOT an award category for the festival. DCIFF Alumni: Include date and name of the film screened at DCIFF on the submission form. Mail submission form with screener.

Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival (Scotland) 11/30/14
We accept submissions of short films, feature films, installations and expanded cinema events (both digital and 16/35mm). We usually prefer work of a more experimental nature, though narrative films that show uniqueness in form and structure, or strong relevance to our themes, are most welcome. Please bear in mind the overall festival theme which aims to explore mankind’s relationship to the natural world. We’re also interested in the ‘alchemy’ of film as well, whatever that turns out to be. Please only submit your work if it relates to these themes in some meaningful way.

ClujShorts International Short Film Festival 11/30/14
A cultural event that takes place annually in Cluj Napoca, Romania. ClujShorts  is an event fully owned and organized by Persona Association and aims at establishing itself as a major international festival, while continuing to act as a platform for showcasing excellent works from around the Globe, and simultaneously contributing to the development and growth of the regional industry and talent. ALFILM – Arab Film Festival Berlin 11/30/14
Contemporary Arab film production including feature and documentary films, as well as short films, experimental films and video art. We accept narrative features, documentary films and short films which were directed by an Arab filmmaker, have been produced or co-produced in an Arab country or handle an issue that relates to the Arab world.
