Dawn Breakers International Film Festival is a registered non-profit organization in the United States, but operates globally.

Family Fiction Film Project 9/30/13 (click on RULES)
Is a cycle of video and film, which explores several possibilities around the topic of family/familiar: documentary or fiction movies about the intimate,
the personal or private, family movies, home movies, self-portraits /about identities, family as a landscape, alternative families, etc. In the era of the democratization of the use of image the objects produced are increasingly on the intimacy and in the precariousness of the production resources. There is a new way to make films and to tell stories. Public and private or global and local, stands in a constant transformation in its inter-connection at the same they have a tremendous impact on the way of producing, creating and living. We believe that at this moment, this kind of cycle is full of sense; it will be a moment for sharing ways of doing and perspectives, which concerns are with fragility, intimacy and precarious. U.Frame International Academic Video Festival- extended deadline!

U.Frame International Academic Video Festival (Portugal) 09/15/13
Animation, Documentary, Experimental and Fiction. Participants should be college students or graduates, who have completed their degree less than a year prior to the date of the Festival and every work must be original. The maximum length of films participating in the Official Competition is 25 minutes. There is a link for digital upload of the file, zipped.

Short Short Film Festival

Short Short Film Festival 10/15/13
Films must be longer than 1 minute and shorter than 6 minutes, including all credits. All films must tell a story; this excludes public service announcements, trailers, music videos, non-narrative experimental pieces, etc. Whether a piece is truly narrative is at the discretion of the submission review panel. All genres and styles are accepted, including live action, documentaries, animation, drama, comedy, children’s films, science fiction, horror, GLBT, etc. SD-DVD format, PAL or NTSC.  DVD accepted, but prefer electronic submission.
