Frequency Film Festival Ongoing
Films must be 70 minutes in length or longer. Screeners can be submitted on DVD NTSC or PAL or a free online streaming link/website with password.We accept all film genre categories except short films. Frequency Film Festival is a film festival based in San Diego, CA, USA. Frequency Film Festival is not a competitive film festival and does not have awards or judges.  The festival will showcase different genres of films: Documentary, International, Horror, Action, Drama, Thriller, Animation, Comedy, Musical, Sci-Fi, Experimental, LGBT, Crime, Romance, and Family. The mission of the Frequency Film Festival is to discover and promote unique and exciting films and to screen them in Southern California to an enthusiastic audience.

Supertoon International Animation Festival (Croatia) 04/01/13
Supertoon International Animation Festival is a specialized international competition festival for short animated films which will be held in Šibenik, Croatia, from 28st July to 2nd August 2013. Three competition categories: Short Animated Films-Short-format, non-commissioned animated films or videos. Films for Children and Youth- Animated works produced and distributed specifically for children and youth audiences. When a serial is the case, only one episode is eligible. Animated Music Videos-Official music videos, commissioned animated videos made specifically to promote music pieces.

Crosstalk video art festival Budapest (Hungary) 04/30/13

Ottawa International Animation Festival (Canada) 05/17/2013
Any frame by frame or computer-assisted animated film or video, or non-gameplay video game animation may be entered. Only works completed after June 15, 2012 will be accepted. Works submitted for selection can be presented on DVD in either NTSC or PAL.

ArcLight Cinemas Documentary Film Festival (Woodland Hills, CA) 5/31/2013

TUFF- Toronto Urban Film Festival (ON) 05/31/2013

Hi! I just added two new festivals to the month pages, the Ocean County Library Student Film Festival and the Colchester Film Festival. Both sound like great events, and the Colchester Film Festival is interested in a diverse mix of short films.

The Ocean County Library Student Film Festival (NJ) 03/20/13
High school and college/film industry students up to age 26 are encouraged to submit their original film works to be shown at a red-carpet event in Mancini Hall at the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 6 p.m. All projects must be original work. Submitted materials will not be returned. Awards will be presented to the winners in the following categories: animation, commercial, documentary, full feature, news, sports short, commercial, P.S.A, short feature, experimental, and music video. Feature films should be no longer than 20 minutes in length.

Appearances (Provincetown, MA) 3/3/13
The Provincetown Conservation Trust is spearheading a not-for-profit arts event – “Appearances” – to take place in the spring. “Appearances” is a “Green Arts Festival”, bringing awareness to our community and visitors of the majesty and fragility of our environment, as well as showing the strengths of the naturally occurring energies that can be harnessed – such as wind, sun and water – by creating kinetic artworks, recyclable artworks and works that will be transformed by the elements during the duration of the event, as well as ecocentric works from other artistic disciplines such as painting, photography, poetry, readings, short films and performance art exhibited or performed at sites throughout Provincetown. Outdoor sculpture/installation submissions are strongly encouraged and will be displayed on Provincetown Conservation Trust sites and other settings.

Fest Anca International animation Festival (Slovakia) 03/29/13
The International animation festival Fest Anča was first mentioned back in 2008 and since the start it has been located in what used to be an ancient settlement and currently is an industrial regional city called Žilina, lying on the North-West of Slovakia. Since the very beginning, the event is connected with the cultural centre Stanica Žilina-Záriečie and is being carried out during the extended weekend after the summer solstice. The festival, tagged as hot and cool at the same time doesn’t spread out red carpets, however the festival’s archives are full of interesting international guests. DVD by mail.

MakeDox (Macedonia) 02/01/13
MakeDox is an International Creative Documentary Film Festival organized by the citizen’s association MakeDox. It will be held in June 2013 in Skopje, Macedonia and as a Traveling Cinema Caravan through 6-10 Macedonian municipalities during August 2013. MakeDox aims to promote creative documentary film production in Macedonia and to support documentary story telling in general. Molodist: Kyiv International Short Film Festival (Kyiv, Ukraine) 07/01/13
“Molodist” is one of the greatest specialized cinema events in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, according to the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). It is a priority platform in the region for presenting the latest and the most up cine products and covers the most high-profile events of modern cinema ­– both mainstream and experimental. The main objective of the festival is to promote young professional cinema. As forty years ago competitive program represents professional and amateur movies of debutants. The main sections – student, the first short film (fiction, animation, documentary) and the first feature film. Geography of contest entries includes countries from almost all continents. So we seek and find – and thus provide an opportunity for young talents to take their place in modern cinema.
