The Festival of youth cultures Kunigunda 8/12/16
The Festival of youth cultures Kunigunda is returning to Velenje for the 19th consecutive year. The festival is the biggest project of Velenje’s Youth centre association where more than 80 youngsters prepare a variegated and diverse cultural, artistic, musical and sports program, in collaboration with other organizations, associations, clubs and other institutions. Kunigunda focuses on quality alternative culture and it values diversity. Throughout the whole week, the organizers promise many concerts, lectures, workshops, exhibitions, sport tournaments, interactive installations and other interesting events.

Cairo Video Festival 9/30/16
Initiated by the Cairo-based artist initiative Medrar for Contemporary Art in 2005, this festival continues its focus on providing a platform for sharing and discussing newly produced high concept/low-budget experimental videos and films. Based on a call for works by emerging artists, the festival program takes the format of a concise series of video screenings, accompanied by talks and discussions with active video-makers and curators to tackle some of the key themes and issues presented in the works
