Vienna Independent Shorts Film Festival 01/04/15
VIS is all about international and national short films, always capturing experiences in and outside of the cinema, presenting the new and old in a lively way, showing connections within. The festival presents films in five competition sections – Fiction & Documentary, National Competition, Animation Avantgarde, National & International Music Video Competition. We accept short films with a maximum length of 30 minutes, from the year 2013/2014/2015. The films must not be screened publicly in Vienna from the 1st of December 2014 to the 31st of May 2015. Online submission.

Now & After Video Art Festival (Russia) 1/31/15
“Now&After” focuses on the presentation, development and promotion both Russian and international video art, getting together emerging and established artists from around the world to present their works to general audience. “Now&After” takes place at museums’ venues. Within a few weeks all festival’s videos are shown in an integrated space of a video installation. Addition to the total show, every day a new video of the festival’s program is presented as a video installation “Video Now”. Submit online with link to video.

20 Mins or Less: a night of short films 2/9/15
“20 Mins or Less: a night of short films”, will be held at Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. This is an open call for all filmmakers (but we’d especially love to see works by regional filmmakers or those with a connection to Wisconsin). We are looking for all types of short films and videos. Comedy. Drama. Documentaries. Animation. Music videos. Just as long as the length of the film is: 20 mins or less. Submit by mail.
