The Video Show 12/2/13
Original work in Video, Video Installation, Motion Graphics and Interactive Installation. Work originally created in both digital and analog formats are acceptable. Max duration 10 minutes. Work in all Video Art styles will be considered, including shorts, experimental, poetic, narrative, abstract, documentary, music, and installation. The exhibition will include single channel presentation of accepted works. Pieces will be on a loop shared with other artists/pieces. Submit DVD or flash drive with file.

TALCA INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL Short films (max. 30 min) produced in Chile and abroad after 10/01/12. Categories: a) National competition: works of fiction, made by Chilean filmmakers living in Chile, b) International competition: works of fiction, made by filmmakers of any nationality, living in Chile and abroad, c) Maule Regional competition: works of fiction, video art, documentary and animation, made by resident filmmakers in the Maule Region, Chile. Works received after deadline will not be considered. Submit by mail or through FESThome.

Ritz Culture Café (Vaasa, Finland)
Submit short films. We will play silent short films in the screening room, which is an old movie theatre, accompanied by live music performed by local bands. Apart from movies there are also going to be art exhibitions, performances and discussions. If you own the rights to a silent short film that you want to be screened or if you have any further questions, please contact us. There are no admission fees.

Criteria for completed films to be screened: under 20 minutes in length, completed no later than January 2011, Projects must be represented by at least one of the following crew members- writer, producer or director on the night of the screening. Thrills from the Vault- What we’re looking for – horror, supernatural, slasher, zombies, ghosts, vampires. Anything that will make us jump and scream! Online submission.

showcases the breadth of the animation world. all methods represented: 2D, CG, stop motion, motion graphics, pixilation, and experimental hybrids. All styles are welcome: hilarious, heart-warming, dark, cerebral, or abstract. We make a point of showing films both from masters and remarkable amateurs.

Autumn Shorts Film Festival

Somerset Community College Theatre & Film welcomes submissions of all genres of films of no longer than thirty minutes in length. The “Autumn Shorts Film Festival” is designed to showcase aspiring filmmakers of all ages from around the world. We also welcome submissions by seasoned filmmakers to serve as examples to our emerging artists.

 Independent Filmmaker’s Categories: 

Domestic Filmmakers– Films shot by filmmakers outside the state of Kentucky but within the United States. 

Kentucky Filmmakers—Films shot primarily by Kentucky residents within the state of Kentucky. This category will also include film companies from outside the state of Kentucky whose project was shot entirely within the state of Kentucky.

Foreign Filmmakers– Films shot in countries outside of the United States. 

Teen Categories- Entries into the teen category must be made by film teams made up primarily by teenaged filmmakers. A teen entry may use individuals as talent and crew who are not teenagers and the project may be supervised by a teacher/mentor. However, the largest part of the filmmaking must be the effort of teenagers.

The Winter Shorts Film Festival will view all entries. Entries which contain graphic images and/or profanity will likely not be selected for screening. Beyond this, we encourage flights of imagination and original artistry. We feel that the short film is an excellent vehicle such experimentation and exploration. While we champion the emerging filmmaker, we feel that participation by seasoned filmmakers in our past festivals has always provided excellent examples for our participants. We encourage such participation.

Early Selection Announcement  Deadline: April 30, 2014.
First Round Selections Announced: June 1, 2014
Early submissions not selected in the first round of selections are not necessarily excluded from the final selections. Early submissions that are not announced as in the first round of selections will automatically be considered for the final official announcements.
Final Deadline: June 30, 2014
Final Official Selections Announced: By August 1, 2014

We will accept HD files for screening which will be converted for our viewing screen. Full information packet is in development.

Noir Film Festival (Italy) 10/26/13
The Festival’s main aim is the promotion and diffusion of the noir genre in its various forms (crime story, suspense, thriller, horror, fantasy, spy story, whodunit…) in Italy and throughout the world, by presenting previews (in and out of competition), retrospectives, meetings, exhibits, and so forth. DVD submission.

Taiwan International children’s Film Festival 10/31/13
Any film produced after August 2011 and suitable for viewers 12 years old and younger is eligible, so get your latest works in the running! Use festival submission platform to upload film.

Pune International Film Festival 10/31/13
The festival offers a contemporary and liberal platform for the filmmakers of the World to exhibit the excellence of the film art form. The aim is mainly to contribute to the understanding and appreciation of cultures of different nations. We hope to present complex human situations of this rapidly changing world in the globalised era. DVD submissions.

International Random Film Festival (Sweden) 10/31/13
No films will be shortlisted. All films for the festival will be selected randomly. The number of films selected to the international competition is: 25. Submit by filling out the online form. You don’t have to send a DVD-screener of your film, we are not going to watch them anyway.
