Duhok International Film Festival (Duhok, Kurdistan)
We are sorry to announce that the 8th Duhok International Film Festival has to be cancelled due to the ongoing corona pandemic. This year´s edition was supposed to take place in September 2020 and will be postponed for a year. This crisis affects all parts of our global society. In particular, we do not want to endanger the health of all guests, festival staff and any society. Our film festival thrives on the physical encounter of local and international filmmakers with the audience in Duhok. Whatever happens over the next few months, the opportunities for this international exchange will be immensely limited.Therefore, we will dedicate this year to a deep preparation for the festival in 2021.
