Tricky Women Animation Festival (Vienna) 10/5/18
Tricky Women is the first and only festival of animated film that is dedicated exclusively to animation by women. Upload via shortfilmdepot or send by post.

World Film Festival (Estonia) 10/15/18
World Film Festival is an event dedicated to the documentary cinema. The festival develops interest towards anthropological, analytical approach to cultures and societies, welcoming documentary film entries from all over the world. Our film program turns attention to cultural exchange as well as representations of other cultures and everyday life across the world. Submit online screener.

Mobile Festival 10/20/18
International festival for films made with mobile phone. The competition is open during the whole year and everyone that will send film made with mobile phone can participate on festival. The duration of the film should be under 10 minutes. Submit online.

Short Short Story Film Festival 10/28/18
The Short Short Story Film Festival celebrates brevity in filmmaking, featuring films from across the globe, lovingly harvested by the folks here at MergingArts Productions. From mini-documentaries to sentimental melodramas to black comedies to animated horror, the festival features succinct presentations of all kinds of short film stories.

Noir Film Festival (Italy) 10/31/18
The Festival’s main aim is the promotion and diffusion of the noir genre in its various forms (crime story, suspense, thriller, horror, fantasy, spy story, whodunit…) in Italy and throughout the world, by presenting previews (in and out of competition), retrospectives, meetings, exhibits, and so forth. Submit by mail with entry form. No short films.

 INTERNATIONALE KURZFILMWOCHE REGENSBURG 10/31/18*
International Short Film Week Regensburg aims to present an adequate and representative selection of the enormous diversity of the worldwide short film making in the international competition. For German films there is the German Competition and regional productions can be seen in the “Window To Bavaria” and “Window To The Region”. * note: all categories except international (free until August) are free to enter
