Latest updates

Hi all,
A few new updates….
If you follow me on facebook, at the end of July wordpress stopped support of sending posts to facebook, so you may have noticed new posts aren’t going to fb. It still sends posts to twitter, so you will see them there, along with re-tweets of festival opportunities that have no entry fee. If you would like to receive an email blast for new posts, sign up to follow this blog on the side bar, or wherever it ends up if you are on mobile. ;)

About twitter, you can follow me @noentryfeefests and if you get a chance (personal favor), can you follow @mhschronicle -they are trying to increase their number of followers- you will be supporting aspiring journalism, photography and media students. :) Likewise, if I should follow you, someone else, or if you just want to say hi, you can shoot me a direct message in twitter.

as always- best of luck,
tracy

Slim Cinema Film Festival 11/23/18
We are excited to announce another installment of Slim Cinema, NYC’s first and only vertical film festival, in December 2018!  Our past events have showcased some of the most creative filmmakers and storytellers across the world to a packed house of over 600 attendees.  CREATOR CHALLENGE: Create a visual piece shot in Vertical Composition that tells a narrative. Content can be shot using your equipment of choice (i.e. SLR, red, smartphone, etc.), but aspect ratio must be 9:16 for any submissions to be considered. We want to challenge your creativity to tell an original narrative through vertical visual storytelling. Have fun with it – be creative with the new aspect ratio. Keep in mind the constraints the narrower vertical format may bring to your content – and discover how you can disrupt visual narratives through powerful storytelling.
