Tahoe Film Festival (US) ongoing
An international film festival that is 100% volunteer based charity fund-raiser that raises money and awareness for lake, forest, and ocean preservation. There are no employees and all profits are donated directly to select environmental non-profit organizations. The Tahoe Film Festival showcases films from around the world in all film genres each year in the “Tahoe” area in northern California. Tahoe Film Festivaltm is accepting film and screenplay/teleplays digital submissions free of charge, 365 days of the year. Online submission.
London Asian Film Festival ongoing- but next festival is in March 2014
Our criteria for consideration is that your film have a connection or link to South Asia. Feature Film, Short Film and Documentary categories, Short films can be any genre including narratives, animations, music videos, documentaries among others, 15 minutes or less, and submitted with a brief synopsis of the film. Short films must be about Asian issues or be made by an Asian (written, producer, directed, main cast etc.) All films must be in English or with English subtitles. DVD by mail.
Inconnu Festival (Paris) 1/20/14
Anyone can submit one short film or more. There is no subscription fee, no genre or theme restrictions, and we will accept amateur, scholar or professional works from any country. There are only two restraints: the movie has to be produced after January 1st 2012, and its length cannot exceed 20 min for fiction/animation/experimental and 26 min for documentary. It is our vision and our hope to not only screen important films, but also create an environment of cultural, enrichment through conversation, presentation, and cinematic celebration. Going into our fourth year, it is our ultimate aspiration to not only help shape and define the genre of but in doing so preserve a collection of films which will someday serve as a dynamic and textured survey of the great philosophical questions of our time as explored through the visual arts.
