One Minute Film Festivals

For today’s post, I decided to focus on one minute film festivals. If you are not yet inspired to create a one minute film, click here for a review of the top five films from Filminute, which is a well known international one minute film festival. Also of note, there is an exhibit opening next week,  March 23rd,  at Mass MOCA that features films from the One Minute Film Festival held from 2003-2012 in upstate NY. I have listed below several one minute festivals that are currently accepting entries.

Minute Festival (Brazil) 3/31/13 online submission
Free Theme. One Minute Festival was created in 1991 and has inspired the breeding of over 50 “one minute festivals” all around the world. Since 2007, the Festival has become permanent and online. The Festival lanches themes and monthly rewards the best works. All the vídeos are evaluated by a team of curators. The trusteeship’s grade is expressed through the number of little clocks and the public`s grade is shown by the number of stars. One Minute Festival also could be called Ideas’s Festival, once idea is the most relevant criterion used in the vídeos evaluation.

Submission by mail or wetransfer. We are again looking for interesting, intense, experimental or thought-provoking shorts up to 60 seconds for the next edition of the One Minute Film and Video Festival Aarau.

TUFF- Toronto Urban Film Festival (ON) 05/31/2013
TUFF screens the best films from hundreds of submissions. In 2013 we will be showcasing truly unique and wholly creative silent one-minute film, video and animation from across Canada and around the world. TUFF films screen every 10 minutes on 300+ screens in 63 subways stations across Toronto.
