McGuffin Youth Film Festival (Moscow) 11/1/2022
Today all teenagers use video as the main communication tool and create ideas by means of camera and editing. That’s why every year since 2016 we hold Moscow International McGuffin film festival for teens and youngsters.

Tokyo Anime Award Festival 11/10/22 feature animation
Tokyo Anime Award Festival calls for feature and short animated films with high potential and strong messages from all over the world. Our aim is to screen high-quality animated films superior in originality, provide opportunities to inspire audience as well as creators, cultivate new talents, and contribute in the development and promotion of animation cultures and industry.

Lift off First Time Filmmaker Showcase 11/16/22
First-Time Filmmaker Online Sessions has been designed to be the entry into the Lift-Off Global Network. It is a monthly online showcase, dedicated to screening a collection of globally submitted indie shorts and features (of all genres) from new voices. All monthly finalists will be awarded free Intermediate Membership worth $89. That will enable them to free submissions across all of our Showcases. Note: entry is free for this month’s showcase, but there may be memberships involved. 

Dunhuang Animation Film Festival 11/16/22
In the Dunhuang Yadan Global Geopark, an animation image art feast surrounded by vast deserts, Yadan landforms and cosmic stars, the Dunhuang Animation Film Festival is about to kick off. The event seeks to create a unique immersive film festival focused on the screening and exhibition of independent films, experimental short films, and conceptual artworks from around the world produced through animation technology.  Film Freeway

Deltas of Charlotte Foundation Legacy Film Showcase 11/19/22
Our mission is stengthening the community by implementing and supporting programs that improve the quality of life for women and their families in the greater Charlotte region. General films must be less than 10 minutes and should highlight and/or feature a Black woman including, but not limited to, women directors, writers and producers.  Student films must be less than 10 minutes with preference to those with residence or connection to North Carolina or the United States Southeast (see categories for more details).

CortoNero11/19/22
A noir short film competition was established in 2008 in collaboration with “400ml” cultural association and “Il Pozzo e il Pendolo” theatre company. 
The goal is to find new ways of investigating and experimenting ideas for noir and mystery. The competition takes place in Naples, a city with esoteric and superstitious roots: the ideal scene for a crime! Each director can participate with more than one short film. Short films on gender issues are admitted to the festival in addition to film noir, detective stories, crime novels and thrillers. Short films must be in Italian or subtitled in Italian. 

International Underwater Film Festival 11/20/22
This festival represents an unique opportunity to take a look at the underwater world, to find out more about it through films, photographs, discussions with authors and with other underwater adventurers and enthusiasts. The Festival’s motto is “Let the waters always be pure”. Note: entry is through film freeway- ddl listed there is 11/20, even though ddl is 11/25 on the festival website call for entries posting.

Blood Bash Short Film Festival 11/20/22
Blood Bash  is an annual celebration of all things blood, guts, gore and more! We feature over 40 horror themed vendors, free to play horror themed carnival games, video game challenges, horror themed tabletop games, trivia contests, cosplay contests, and much more! Of course, the bread and butter of Blood Bash is our Short Film Festival! We average over TWO THOUSAND entrants per year! Every year we narrow it down to the top 40-45 submissions and those films not only are screened publicly at the show, but also vie for the coveted “Best In Show” trophy!

Youth Diversity Film Festival 11/21/22
Film Festival for Middle and High School students is presented by  Robert McCune, Director of the BHERC Youth Diversity Film Festival. These aspiring young filmmakers study their craft at organizations and schools across the globe. BHERC is proud to spotlight shorts created by diverse youth. These film screenings and panel dialogues are an opportunity for emerging young directors to showcase their skills, talent and vision, while giving the audience a chance to view and discuss the artistry, passion and sacrifice involved in the independent film making process.

Saudi Arabia’s first international film festival dedicated entirely to student films and media projects. The festival’s main goal is to support aspiring filmmakers to share their stories with the world. Note: extended deadline is december 31st.

6th AFSAD Short Film Festival 11/21/22
Organized by Ankara Photography Artists’ Association. The festival hosts a ***NATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION*** and international short film screenings. Short films from categories of fiction, documentary, experimental and animation from ***NATIONAL (TURKISH)*** filmmakers can apply with no theme restrictions. The motto of this year’s festival is “less is more”.

Osaka Asian Film Festival (Japan) 1128/22
OAFF is now accepting submissions. Films produced in Asian countries/regions, and films related to Asia and/or Asian people are eligible. 

Animocje 11/30/22
A lot of people think that animation equals cartoons for children. They could not be more wrong! An absolute proof of that is Animocje – a film festival focused on animated cinema that is ambitious and searches for its own artistic expression forms.
