LIFE AFTER OIL International Film Festival 5/1/17
This festival starts with the intention of overshooting the simple exposure. Although it is important to raise public awareness on the risks connected to the exploitation and to the use of natural resource in the production of fossil fuels, still remains, the enormous and dramatic problem of the disasters caused by the lack of energy, with particular reference to the water supply, highly relevant to the world population. The main objective of the festival will be, therefore, not only emphasizing problems related to the use of fossil fuels, but especially identifying the alternatives which take into account, according to the present scientific knowledge, the several well-known methods of production.

FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINEMA DE CERDANYA 05/01/17

The 7th Filmambiente will take place in Rio de Janeiro, August, 10th to 16th, 2017, and Brasília, in March,15-21st, 2018 at the same time as the World Water Forum 2018. Applications are open for documentaries, fictional, experimental and animations short and feature films on environmental issues, with an emphasis on WATER ISSUES.

Asinabka Festival 5/15/17
Asinabka Festival will take place in Ottawa, Ontario.  The Festival is currently seeking works from independent filmmakers, any film or video that tells First Nations, Métis, or Inuit stories, or focuses on international Indigenous issues, is eligible.  Submissions can be in any genre (documentary, drama, animation, experimental etc.) or any length, and must be finished works.  Preference will be given to new works produced within the last two years. Ottawa International Animation Festival 5/26/17
Only animated films that were completed after May 27th, 2016 are eligible. You must submit your entry form online through your OIAF login account. Your preview film must be submitted on a streamable URL link. The link must remain accessible until the end of July. If your film has dialogue that is not English and is not subtitled, you must include an English dialogue script. Director’s photograph (300 dpi), biography and 3 stills from the film (300 dpi) are required. If your film is selected, we must receive a high-definition Quicktime .mov file (H264 or ProRes only, minimum resolution 1920×1080). We can accept DCP for Competition films, however we require a .mov file as well in order to screen at our non-DCP venues as needed.

Traverse City Film Festival 5/28/17
