Fredrikstad Animation Festival (Norway) 07/01/2019*
Fredrikstad Animation Festival (FAF) is organized by Norsk Animasjonsforum. The object of the festival is to promote screening of animation and increase the awareness of animated expressions in the Nordic-Baltic countries. Fredrikstad Animation Festival is a Cartoon d´Or partner festival, and is obliged to nominate a film to the Cartoon d´Or Award.

Women Over 50 Film Festival 7/15/19
Everyone is eligible to submit a film or screenplay. There’s no upper or lower age limit and it’s not only open to women. As long as your film centres on a woman over 50 or part of your core creative team is female and over 50, your film is eligible.
To be eligible for Women Over 50 Film Festival your film must: have a woman over 50 at its centre OR be made by a female filmmaker (writer, director or producer) over 50. Your film should: be under 15 minutes for animation or experimental films, be under 20 minutes for dramas, be under 25 minutes for documentaries. Our new screenwriting competition is open for submissions! Send us your 5 minute, not-yet-filmed, short drama script. First Nations Film and Video Festival7/15/19
The mission of First Nations Film and Video Festival is to advocate for and celebrate the works of Native Americans filmmakers and new works and films that break racial stereotypes and promotes awareness of Native American issues. New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 7/31/19
Welcome to the hub airport of animation. This autumn, the New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival will screen animated films from all around the world at the terminal building of New Chitose Airport, which connects Hokkaido with the rest of the world. The festival was launched in 2014 as the first festival ever held inside an airport’s terminal building. PRIMANIMA WORLD FESTIVAL OF FIRST ANIMATIONS7/31/2019
The 8th edition of the festival is held between October 30th and November 2nd in Budaörs, Hungary. The call is open for short (not longer than 25 minutes) animated films in one of the following categories: 1. workshop film = your animated short film produced at high school, workshops, university education or any other trainings as a student (older than 15 years old). 2. graduation film = your B.A. or M.A. school-leaving short film
3. début film = your first animated short film production apart from an educational background. 4. children’s film = any animated short film made for children if it falls in any of the above categories, or it is made by an up-and-coming director under the age of 40. Beside the Grand Prix and category prizes at the festival to to support young Hungarian creators there are special Hungarian awards, which take their names after renowned Hungarian artists of animation history (George Pal Award for the most promising Hungarian talent in animation; Gyula Macskássy Award for the most popular Hungarian animation; Tibor Csermák Award for the most popular Hungarian animation).

The fourth edition will happen between October 17th and 27th, 2019. We accept shorts and features. Non-Brazilian films must have/provide English subtitles.
