Animafest Zagreb 2/1/19
The World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb, established in 1972, is the second oldest film festival in the world completely dedicated to animation. Launched thanks to the global reputation of the filmmakers sprung from the Zagreb School of Animation, founded based on the decision of ASIFA, International Animated Film Association, Zagreb Film production company and City of Zagreb, Animafest Zagreb takes place every year early in June.

Dead by Dawn 2/1/19

Transilvania International Film Festival (Romania) 2/1/19

Animayo: 2/1/19
The call for entries is already open for the International Film Contests Animayo 2019, Qualifying festival for the OSCAR® in the animated short film category.  Animayo winners will be eligible for consideration in the “Animated Short Film” of the Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules. VIDEOEX Intl. Experimental Film & Video Festival, Zurich 2/4/19

Cell Phone Cinema (New Delhi) 2/05/19
Shooting a Film/Music Video / News/ Still Image on MOBILE PHONE, 3 minutes maximum, Shooting Technique: Mobile Phone (cell phone), Purpose: To unleash the creative spark of the participants by using nontraditional means of technology like the Cell Phone and create both motion and still imagery., The Task: Participants can shoot a Video (max. 3 minutes) or Still Picture using a mobile phone. Arnow Film Festival 2/8/19
Somerset Community College’s Arnow Conference for the Humanities will hold its second annual film festival as a part of its 2019 conference. The fest will consider all films under 12 minutes in length for inclusion into the Conference fest. The event will take place on Friday and Saturday, April 5th and 6th, 2019. Official selections will be screened on SCC’s Stoner Little Theatre’s “big screen.” There is no submission fee. The Ambler Theater presents a short film series dedicated to showcasing the best local filmmakers in the Greater Philadelphia Area. The First Take Shorts Series aims to screen films by filmmakers from all different types of skill levels & backgrounds. Krakow Film Festival (KFF), 2/15/19

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival (French: Festival International du Film d’Animation d’Annecy, abbreviated as AIAFF) was created in 1960 and takes place at the beginning of June in the town of Annecy, France. Initially occurring every two years, the festival became an annual event in 1998. It is one of the four international animated film festivals sponsored by the Association Internationale du Film d’Animation(or ASIFA, the International Animated Film Association). Alpinale Short Film Festival (Austria) 02/15/19 The ALPINALE represents a venue for both professional and amateur filmmakers from home and abroad, who are given the opportunity to conduct multi-cultural and open dialogue with creative people, and to present their work to an interested audience. We close the call-for-entries after 800 short films have been submitted.

Clear the Air Film Fest 02/18/2018
The Clear the Air Film Fest showcases student-produced short films that address topics on air quality and tobacco use prevention in the community. The films will be reviewed by our panel of judges and the highest scoring films will receive a cash prize. The winning films will be announced at the screening at New People Cinema in San Francisco on Saturday, March 16, 2019. Professional and amateur filmmakers who are not students may submit films to the General Public competition. The first place winner of the General Public competition will receive $500 and a screening and the second place winner may also have their film screened. Winners MUST be present at the screening and should be prepared to speak to the student filmmakers about their creative process.

Carballo interplay 2/18/19
There takes place Carballo Interplay, a digital contents festival that became the first webseries festival in Spain. Its contents go beyond serialised fiction and aim to explore the possibilities of the Internet as a medium for storytelling, the most transgressive humour, non-fiction, digital culture, video heritage and interactive audiovisual performance, always with the video as a foundation.

Faultline Film Awards 1/21/19 *deadline for free submission
Submissions must be from local (Utah) filmmakers or be films about the outdoors in Utah. The Wasatch Mountain Range holds a special place in the hearts of Utah outdoors folk. Mount Timpanogos, Lone Peak, Ben Lomond; each peak presents its own story, its own challenge. Learning the language these mountains speak is something worth striving for and is possible for any Wasatch adventurer, so long as they know how to listen right. We at Wasatch Mag highly value the language of the Wasatch mountains, which is why we created Faultline Film Awards – to give filmmakers and adventurers the opportunity to tell their stories through film.
