Slim Cinema Film Festival currently accepting submissions, festival postponed
Create a visual piece shot in Vertical Composition that tells a narrative. Content can be shot using your equipment of choice (i.e. SLR, red, smartphone, etc.), but aspect ratio must be 9:16 for any submissions to be considered.  We want to challenge your creativity to tell an original narrative through vertical visual storytelling.

Germany’s largest forum for women in the film industry and presents outstanding films by women spanning all genres and styles. Deadline is for the International Debut Feature Film Competition. Eligible are fictional debuts or graduation pieces by women directors with a length of at least 65 minutes.

Under the Radar  12/8/22
The Cinema Feast Collection is primarily a non commercial streaming library for marginalized LGBTQ+ people living in oppressive regimes. (www.cinemafeast.com) We are currently seeking submissions for our Under the Radar program  featuring under-represented Queer Cinema. Our goal is to create a space of solidarity for a population of artists within the local, national and international cultural scene, who face scrutiny, persecution or even criminalization on a daily basis. We invite you to share your films and join exceptional and talented artists who face systemic barriers as a result of their racial, sexual, and/or gender identities. All genres are accepted. Videos must be 30 minutes or less. We accept old and new works! Only films with English subtitles will be accepted. We will notify successful participants by email.

Japan World’s Tourism Film Festival 12/9/22
is a Japanese-based international tourism film festival and a member of CIFFT. CIFFT is a network of world-class tourism film festivals. This call for films is for our 5th edition. The festival will take place on 14-16 March 2023.The venue will be Otsu City, Shiga, Japan. We are waiting for wonderful tourism films from around the world.

Kristiansand International Childrens Film Festival (Norway) 12/15/22
Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival (KICFF) is Norway’s largest film festival aimed at children and youth. The target group is age 3-19. The festival takes place in Kristiansand, Southern Norway. The festival accepts features, documentaries, animation films and short films from all over the world.

Short of the Year 12/21/22
PROMOFEST opens the call for entries of SHORT OF THE YEAR – AUTUMN. Every season 5worwill be selected. The winner of each season will be awarded with 250 submissions to film festivals (for free) and will directly become one of the films selected for The Short of the Year. ANIFILM – International Festival of Animated Films 12/31/22
You can now submit new creations to the ANIFILM International Animated Film Festival. The festival will traditionally take place in Liberec,  from May 2 to 7, 2023  and will present the best of current author animation and games. ANIFILM has recently been included among the festivals whose winning short film is qualified for the Oscar race. Submit through Eventival here.

Anifilm 12/31/22
Anifilm’s mission is to present current trends, methods, technologies and animation techniques in its programme. It also supports works in progress and brand new animation projects and their authors, producers and distributors. Film professionals from all over the world can use Anifilm as a platform for positive confrontation and meeting place for forging new contacts. Anifilm is aimed at authors and film professionals as well as students, educators, film theorists and all fans of animated production, including children.

Fest Anca Internacional Animation Festival 12/31/22*free entry deadline*
Fest Anča International Animation Festival is unique in being the only Slovak multimedia festival focused on animated film targeted mainly at a mature audience. The festival aims to raise awareness about animated film as an autonomous art form, and to educate about its multiple types and aspects. This year’s call for entries is open via Film Freeway. The submission process is free of charge until December 31, 2021.
