FilmFestival Cottbus 8/01/17
The FilmFestival Cottbus’ rules and regulations consider a film to be East European when its producer or one of its co-producers and / or director resides in one of the Europe’s post-socialist countries (including all successor states of the Soviet Union).
Noncomercial International Animated Film Festival “Tindirindis” has been organised in Vilnius in Lithuania each fall continuously since 2003. The mission of the festival is to show the latest animation from around the world covering the spectrum of styles and schools, created both by professionals with years of experience and by art students. We also promote animation as an art without any limits.
The International Festival of Animation Arts “Multivision” is an annual event in St.Petersburg, Russia, held in November. The festival includes competition in animation shorts (duration 1 – 30 min) and video installations evaluated by a professional jury.

The festival will be held from 17th to 21st October 2016 and will be divided into two different programs: 1. international competition of short films made by students currently enrolled in film and media courses or students that will graduate in the academic year 2015-2016; 2. out-of-competition film schools showcase, special programmes of International film schools and other special presentations.

24 fps International Short Film Festival (Texas) 8/10/17
Since its inception in 1999, the 24fps Short Film Festival has presented programs of short films by aspiring and established artists from around the world. The juried competition is open to any work made outside the major worldwide film studio system, and provides cash awards to the festival’s top films in six major categories.

Any young filmmaker between the ages of 13 and 19 living in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Montana, or British Columbia may enter a film in any theme or style made after September 1, 2015. Group projects as well as individual works are acceptable. All entries must be student produced. We cannot accept work that includes copyrighted music without express written permission from the artist. Adult guidance and instruction is permissible, but the primary hands-on creative work and point-of-view must be by a student(s).

Filminute is the international one minute film festival that showcases, awards and promotes the best one minute films from around the world. Filminute is built to generate the largest amount of exposure possible for the one minute filmmakers and the collection of one minute films showcased, shortlisted, and awarded by an international jury and the public.
SPE Film and Video Festival 8/31/17*
The Society for Photographic Education (SPE) has featured a film and video festival of innovative and provocative short documentaries, animation and fiction as part of the Annual Conference since 1995. The festival began as the SPE Women’s Film and Video Festival and evolved into a festival featuring work curated by the organization’s three caucuses, the Women’s Caucus, Multicultural Caucus and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Queer Caucus. The Society for Photographic Education is the primary academic organization for photographic media professionals and the Annual Conference draws 1200-1500 participants annually. The conference theme for 2018 is Uncertain Times: Borders, Refuge, Community, Nationhood. *free for SPE members
